OUR FOREVER HOME

coming soon to 720 Grove Street

foreverhomelogoOver the past 18 months, our "Forever Home" task group has inspected buildings, consulted with contractors, and negotiated for our "Forever Home."

We are happy to announce that we will lease the former Salisbury Children's Clinic building at 720 Grove Street

Our "Forever Home" is approximately 5,000 total square feet and will give Meals on Wheels Rowan room to grow and share. But the building needs to be renovated, and the parking lot needs some serious work.

This project includes renovations to the building, parking lot repairs and landscaping, and the construction of a new covered drive-through for volunteers.

Why now?

We want to provide our staff and volunteers with a well-lit, climate-controlled space and restrooms. In 2026, we will celebrate our 50th Anniversary, and we want to be in our 17th location and Forever Home. A covered drive-through for volunteers will allow volunteers to stay in their cars when picking up or dropping off meal totes and provide coverage on rainy, stormy, or winter weather days.

How much will it cost?

How can you help?

Your contributions will give Meals on Wheels Rowan a home office for years to come. Raising funds for this project will allow us to put the money we would have budgeted for rent into serving Rowan County homebound seniors who need free home-delivered meals.

Rather than spend the market rate of $7,000 per month on monthly rent, we will be able to feed an extra 25 people a day. Our plan is to raise funds from current donors, foundations, and the public.

The campaign pledge period is three years. Giving Opportunities range from $500,000 to $150.
